artistic creation | media | climate change | reproductive labor | informal education

I am an artist, educator, and researcher working at the intersections of care and climate. My artistic practice takes the form of persona work and collaboratively-devised theater, drawing on training from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Interlochen Arts Academy. As an educator, I have mentored, taught, and facilitated individuals and groups of people of all ages and abilities. As a multidisciplinary scholar, my work spans many fields including curriculum theory, media and cultural studies, science and technology studies, environmental humanities, and qualitative methods.

I hold a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a masters from NYU. I’ve held positions as a Visiting Scholar at University of Cambridge, faculty at DePaul University, and ACLS Leading Edge Fellow and Senior Campaigns Researcher with American Council of Learned Societies and Caring Across Generations. I enjoy working collaboratively with a range of co-creators who bring varied experiences and expertise. This has led to arts programming, multimedia productions, and creative publications. I have written for refereed journals including Reference and User Service Quarterly, Journal of Childhood Studies, Gastronomica and Environmental Humanities.
